Data Processing Manager (GDPR)

The recent European General Data Protection Regulation n. 2016/2017 introduced the so-called “Data Processing Manager”, whose task is to provide the adequate safeguards needed to carry out the technical and organizational arrangements for security and data confidentiality protection. Such expert, directly appointed by the KERNET Owner, shall have certified skills in the target areas they will be managing, besides being ethically eligible.
KERNET, for the sole clients with which it has ongoing relations, may decide to make a custom deal to play such a role, as outlined by GDPR (even as a contractor), by creating jointly a specific motion to imply the designation as Data Processing Manager, as seen in Art. 28 of the UE 2016/679 Regulation.
